- Do not add water beyond the MAX water level mark.
- To prevent eggshells from cracking, gently tap a small hole on the top of the small end of the egg with the punch at the bottom of the measuring cup before steaming. Then place the egg on the egg rack with the large end facing down.
Ⅳ. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Unplug the power supply and wait for the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the outer surface of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the entire unit in water or rinse it under a tap.
- The steaming plate, steamer basket and lid can be cleaned with dish soap and a sponge. Do not use steel wool, abrasive or corrosive cleaners.
- Do not clean the entire unit in water. Only wipe the outer surface of the electric food steamer with a damp cloth and never rinse it with water to avoid electric leakage and malfunctions.
- Dry all parts of the product thoroughly before storage.
- For long-term storage, keep the product in a dry, cool place, away from dust, high temperature and direct sunlight.
- If a layer of limescale forms on the surface of the heating element after repeated egg steaming (characterized by black or gray discoloration), clean it in a timely manner. Limescale buildup for an extended period will cause heat insulation and may result in undercooked steamed eggs. Remove limescale by boiling water with edible white vinegar in the steamer.
